DM0405-002-411 Job Type: Permanent Title: Trade Support Analyst Location: Chicago, IL Description: Job Order: DM0405-002-411 Title: Trade Support Analyst Location: Chicago, IL Company Overview: Our client, an established global proprietary trading firm based in Chicago, seeks 2 Trade Support Specialists to join their organization to serve growing business needs. Responsibilities: Provide first and second level support to traders for Chicago and NY offices. Perform active monitoring and respond to alerts within technology environment; escalate issues to appropriate IT staff if necessary Work collaboratively with traders and other IT staff to implement new tools and strategies. Manage applications including Trading Technologies and proprietary applications. Test new releases of software and deploy to production. Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop problems. Install and configure hardware and software. Achieve close to 100% uptime through monitoring, use of change management procedures and immediate response to any outage. Manage incidents including incident resolution process and client communications Develop and maintain systems documentation. Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve firm goals. Provide support off-hours and remotely when needed. Experience Experience supporting proprietary and third party trading applications is required. Experience with Perl, shell scripting, or another programming language is required. Experience with Linux and/or Windows desktop administration is required. Demonstrated ability configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting software is required. Experience supporting XTrader from Trading Technologies is preferred. Knowledge Windows desktop operating system troubleshooting and administration Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Basic knowledge of IP network troubleshooting Proven ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills Proven customer focus is essential Strong self motivation and initiative Education/Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is desired.
