Job Type: permanent Title: Physical Therapist Location: Multiple Locations Description: Title: Physical Therapist Start date: ASAP Location: Multiple Locations (CA, FL, IA, IL, MD, PA, TX, WA, WI, WV) Pay rate: Commensurate with experience Benefits: Medical/Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, AD&D, Supplemental, Legal Services Plan, Educational Assistance, Retirement savings plan, 401K, etc. Duties: Plan/interpret/implement specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients in coordination with medical staff, recommend changes as needed. Confer with physicians/medical staff on patient care issues. Evaluate charts/reports on patient's progress, maintain records/charts/discharge summaries. Bill patients according to established procedures. Recommend physical therapy policies/procedures concerning services provided. Maintain quality assurance program (safety/environmental/infection control). Educate patients/family in proper care and use of support/exercise programs. Assist with data collection and report preparation. Maintain patients' statistics. Maintain unit in clean/orderly manner. Keep equipment in good working condition. Participate in professional development and maintain professional affiliations. Maintain patient confidentiality. Experience / Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy & State Licensure Required knowledge: principles/practices/standards/techniques of physical therapy; use and maintenance of physical therapy equipment; safety requirements. Ability to evaluate utilization statistics and other data; ability to communicate clearly; full range of body motion including manual finger dexterity/eye-hand coordination; frequent standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; handling and lifting of patients. Ability to facilitate prescribed treatment including full manipulation and resistance; ability to communicate nature of treatment to patient and prepare doctor's report; ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
