Summary:
Perform duties required to set up and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines and the related automation and auxiliary equipment. In depth understanding of Scientific Injection Molding and RJG to the level of being able to teach others. Conduct assigned projects for continuous improvement activities including SMED, TPM, and operator training.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions immediately.
Check and maintain quality of product being produced.
Establish and monitor processes via RJG/E-dart using decoupled molding practices.
Work extensively with Engineering, Mfg Technicians, Maintenance, and tool repair to establish increases in machine and mold efficiency and reliability.
Process both new and current molding products to obtain an optimum robust cycle using Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) techniques.
Develop training and conduct training for molding processes and trouble shooting techniques, in both a group and one-on-one environment.
Develop and conduct training for hourly personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Check and maintain cycle times as per Machine Settings Guide and Process Control Records parameters.
Troubleshoot cycles for quality and proper cycle standards.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to molding machines and auxiliary equipment as necessary.
Report and document necessary maintenance issues or requirements on work orders.
Work from verbal or written instructions per Master Mold Technician, Supervisor, or Lead.
