Summary/Responsibilities:
A Los Angeles-based alternative investment company is seeking a Director of Investor Relations.

Become fluent on all aspects of the firm’s investment philosophy, products, research and due diligence process, and risk management in order to effectively communicate with existing and prospective clients.
Create/maintain marketing materials for new client presentations, including brochures, statistical profiles, executive summaries, etc.
Assist in the preparation of custom, client-specific communication.
Interface with clients and advisors regarding the processing of subscriptions, redemptions, additional contributions and account transfers.
Oversee and prepare responses to RFP’s and RFI’s from consultants and institutional clients.
Supervise the periodic updating of the firm’s website.
Track and schedule meetings for senior management with existing investors.
Complete the monthly updating of funds’ performance with the listing services.
Supervise all public relations activities including the arrangement of speaking engagements or interviews for principals.
Maintain and update the investor database.
Work with other members of the firm in suggesting ways to improve communication with existing and prospective investors as well as with the broader investment community.

Requirements:
BS/BA (Marketing, Communications, Finance or related degree).
3+ years of experience in the financial services industry or in financial journalism.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proven ability to successfully complete/track multiple projects and meet required deadlines.
Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
